End of Semester 1 Information

Lord Beaverbrook High School will run a modified timetable on January 26-27 with no regular classes scheduled and no final exams. Teachers will individually contact students who are required to attend targeted sessions to gather additional evidence of learning and extend previously taught concepts. The first day of Semester 2 is January 28 at which point regularly scheduled classes will resume. 

April Diploma Exams

Any students that are needing to write diploma exams in the April sitting must come to the main office to see Assistant Principal Konschuh before Friday January 26.

Student Pickup

Student pick-up and drop-off is to only take place in the student parking lot not in the front parking lot.

Student Fees

All student fees have been updated and are ready to be paid. Thank you to those of you who have seen those show up and have taken care of them. Please let us know if you have any concerns.

Upgrading for Semester 2

If you plan on upgrading a core stream (ELA 30-2 to 30-1) we recommend that you have a mark higher then 65% in the -2 stream to be considered for the -1 class.

Graduation Requirements

All students in grade 12 are eligible to participate in this school celebration but must be a student in good standing according to the school’s code of conduct, maintain regular attendance, and pay the required graduation fee, which will be available on MyCBE at the end of January. The fees can be paid directly at the Business Office or through your student’s MyCBE account online.

Students must have credit for the following courses in addition to the 100 credits in total by the end of the school year.

ELA 30-1 or 30-2

Social Studies 30-1 or 30-2

Math – 20 level 

Science – 20 level

CALM 20

Physical Education 10

Additional 30 level (1) (5 credits)

Additional 30 level (2) (5 credits)

10 credits in CTS/Fine Arts/Second Language/Phys. Ed 20/30 

100 Credits in total

Pack your bags... Here comes the university test drive! We are whisking away 20 lucky Grade 11 students to our Augustana Campus in Camrose. Join us for a whirlwind weekend with a jam-packed schedule of events. Investing in the Future Award Scholarship

It is with great excitement and extreme pleasure that EducationMatters announces the return of the “Investing in the Future Award” for the fourth year in a row!

This year, the incredibly generous donor is once again offering 10 awards of $100,000 each ($25,000 per year over 4 years)!!!
