Participation in Graduation Ceremonies requires students to: meet the Alberta Education requirements for a High School Diploma, Certificate of High School Achievement, Certificate of High School Completion; be a student in good standing. A date will be established each school year to post the graduation list. The graduation list will be posted about three weeks before the ceremony. Students not meeting expectations for participation in the graduation ceremony can attend the graduation banquet at the discretion of Administration.

LBHS Graduation 2026

Graduation Rehearsal (Not a Public Event - Students Only)

  • Wednesday, May 13th during periods 3 & 4 at LBHS Main Gymnasium
  • Immediately following the rehearsal, there will be a Graduation Carnival to celebrate the 2026 graduates at the school.

Gown Sign-Out & Cap Pick-up (Not a Public Event - Students Only)

  • Monday, May 11th – Wednesday, May 13th at LBHS
  • Please pay your Graduation Fee on your MyCBE PowerSchool Account (Student and Parent / Legal Guardian Sign In (cbe.ab.ca)) prior to May 11th.
  • Specific times and how to sign-up for a time will be released closer to the date.
  • Please note you will also receive your cap and tassel when you get your gown.
  • If you purchased banquet tickets, you will receive your paper tickets when you pick-up your gown.

Graduation Ceremony: Thursday, May 14 at BMO Centre

  • The ceremony will begin promptly at 9am.
  • Grads must arrive by 8:15am to line up in alphabetical order.
  • Caps & Gowns will be picked up at school during Periods 3 & 4 on May 11 and 12. Students MUST bring this with them to the ceremony!
  • The ceremony is expected to end around 12pm.
  • There are NO tickets required for the ceremony and NO limit on the number of guests. There will be plenty of seats available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Graduation Banquet & Dance: Thursday, May 14 at BMO Centre

  • Doors open at 5pm
  • Dinner served at 6pm
  • Dance will begin once dinner is cleared (approximately 8pm) and ends at 10pm
  • Tickets are NOW on sale for the 2026 LBHS Graduation Banquet!
    • Tickets sales are on sale until Monday, April 6th at 11:59pm while supplies last.
    • Tickets are $140/person including GST.
    • Purchase tickets through your MyCBE Account. More instructions on how to purchase can be found in the document Banquet & Dance Info Page 2026.
    • Tickets include the dance as well as dinner.
    • Sales are final. There are no refunds or table changes once purchased.
    • Students will pick up a physical ticket May 11 - 13th at the school when they get their gown, but we encourage you to print a receipt and save the emailed confirmation of purchase.
  • Dance only tickets will be sold at the school.

The DEADLINE for grade 12 students to get their Grad Portraits done through Lifetouch is Tuesday, January 27th if they want to be included in the Yearbook and the Wall Composite.
