Dear parent(s) and guardian(s),

Thank you for a wonderful week of school.

General School Updates

  • Students who are taking a diploma level 30 course with either Vista Virtual or Ignite, need to confirm the writing location for your diploma exam with that school.  You must write your diploma exam that you are taking with those providers at their location.  You should confirm this before the March break.
  • Planning is already well underway for next year, If your student is planning to attend another school for the 2026/2027 year please send an e-mail to lordbeaverbrook@cbe.ab.ca so we can ensure an easy transition for your student.
  • As we move toward the end of the school year, this is an exciting time for students. Warmer weather, celebrations, and traditions often bring opportunities for fun and connection. At the same time, it is important that everyone continues to make thoughtful and responsible choices that keep our school community, and the broader public safe.  We have become aware of students organizing games involving water guns. While we understand the intention may be harmless fun, there are important safety expectations that must be understood.
  •  No Water Guns at School or During School. Water guns of any kind are not permitted in the school or anywhere on school grounds or during the school day – which includes parking lots.  This includes before school, during lunch, after school, and at any school-related activity or event.  Bringing water guns to school creates safety concerns and can cause unnecessary alarm for students, staff, and community members.
  • Yearbooks are available for purchase, copies are limited and must be ordered online: https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/productBrowse/1114742/Lord-Beaverbrook-High-School/2024-Yearbook/2023062904252515373/CATALOG_SHOP/?srsltid=AfmBOooPPUaSS49eXeecnPflKOILnCFYv3AWYBifIvY06GPLhuYstggL
